Mid-century and well-made older furniture from estates, downsizing moves and family homes anywhere in Alberta. Send photos of the rooms and we will tell you what we want and what we will pay, usually within one business day. Then we carry it out.

How it works

  1. Send photos of each room. Wide shots are fine, plus close-ups of any labels or stamps you spot. No need to move anything.
  2. Get an offer. We tell you which pieces we want and what we will pay for each one, in writing, so the whole family can see it.
  3. We carry it out. On a day that suits you, before possession or the listing photos. You are paid by e-transfer or cash before anything leaves the home.

For families

Clearing out a parent's home is a lot. You do not need to know what anything is worth or who made it. Send photos as the rooms stand and we will pick out what we buy. We restore everything in our Edmonton shop, so wear, scratches and tired fabric are fine.

For executors and lawyers

You get a written offer listing each piece and its price, for the estate's records, and we pay when we pick up. If the decision needs the family or the beneficiaries, tell us and we will work to your timeline.

For realtors and move managers

Listing date or possession day coming up? Tell us the date and we will plan around it. We are happy to deal with your client directly or go through you. Send us sellers regularly? Become a referral partner and get 10% of what we pay.

What we buy

Mid-century teak, walnut and rosewood from the 1950s to the 1970s, Danish and Canadian makers, art deco, and well-made older solid wood: sideboards, dressers, dining sets, desks, wall units, lounge chairs and bedroom suites. More detail on selling a single piece.

Anywhere in Alberta

We are based in Edmonton, so we are quickest around the city and the nearby towns. Calgary, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray and everywhere in between: we plan pickups into regular trips, so tell us your date early and we will fit it in.

Questions

Do we have to sell everything to you?

No. We buy the pieces we want and you keep or sell the rest however you like. There is no minimum.

Do we need to sort or clean first?

No. Photos of each room as it stands are enough to start. Leave things where they are.

What happens to everything you do not buy?

We can put you in touch with estate sale, cleanout and moving companies we work with, so the rest of the house is handled too.

Is this kept private?

Yes. We do not post addresses or family details, and we only photograph the furniture we buy.
